Kaiserschmarrn is a sweet shredded pancake which is an Austrian specialty. It got it name from the emperor (Kaiser in Austrian German) Franz Joseph I, who really liked this pancake. The dish can be served as a main dish or a dessert together with fruits or fruit puree of your liking.

Instructions:

Separate the egg whites and the egg yellow in 2 bowls.

Mix the egg yellows with the sugar and the vanilla sugar.

While stirring add little by little the flour and the milk, and let it rest 20 minutes.

In a bowl let the raisins get soft in some liquid of preference, and add it in the batter.
