Cannelloni is a very special kind of Italian pasta shaped as a tube. In this recipe I use fresh lasagna plates instead, because it is easier to prepare them like that. This way you get this Italian dish wonderfully crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. One can use different ingredients in cannelloni, but the most common way is to prepare them with spinach and ricotta cheese. In this recipe I make them with ham, zucchini, spinach, arugula and mozzarella cheese.
Homemade beignet is a deep-fried pastry that comes in many shapes and sizes and with fillings such as Nutella and jam. Even if it’s considered to be French, the origin is from Rome in Italy. Different regions have its own recipe and name. Big ones are called Berliner in Germany, In Lyon they call them Bugne, in Strassbourg it’s called Roussettes and in South of France it’s referred as Oreillettes de Provence.
This is a homemade Italian spongecake with limoncello and lemon curd. It taste wonderful if you make your own lemon curd. It has a wonderful texture combined with fresh lemons and sweet mascarpone cheese frosting. It is perfect to serve when you have a gathering with only adults considering the cake contains liqueur.
