This is a homemade recipe for the French potato gratin called Tartiflette. I first tried it at a friend's place I visited in France. She informed me that is a popular dish in the Alpes and wonderful to eat after a day skiing. If you can't find the right cheese, try a brie, camembert or something similar you can find in your local shop. It will still heat you up, and taste delicious on a cold winter day.

This Royal chocolate cake is also known as Trianon in French. It has a layers of biscuits, crunchy pralines, and fluffy chocolate mousse covered in cacao powder. It fits all different celebrations but is most appreciated as a birthday treat.
This is a traditional recipe of the famous Alsatian flammekueche also known as tarte flambée that my grand-parents used to do every Sunday. They are traditionally baked in a wood-fire oven which makes a crispy bottom with slightly burned edges with a creamy topping. But don´t worry with modern ovens they are also easy and tasty to prepare. Using a wood-fire oven was part of the Sunday evening entertainment at my grand-parents.
This is a popular variation of the traditional tarte flambée, you add some cheese on the top to give it a grated taste, and is usually served as one of the last one of the meal. Tarte flambée comes in many variations but the most popular ones are the classical one, forestière and the gratinée.
