This is a homemade recipe for a Mediterranean inspired Cake Salé. Also known as savory cake or salty bread. The cake is filled with black olives, feta cheese, basil and vegetarian bacon which gives you a delicious bread from the Mediterranean area. Can be served as appetizer, starter, mingle food or to bring on a picnic.
This recipe gives you a perfect dish to serve an evening when you have friends coming over. It goes fast and you don't need to prepare much. This is with beef, chili sauce and vegetables, but you can change to chicken or even make a vegetarian alternative. If you prefer a garlic sauce instead of the chili one, just replace the chili sauce with 1 teaspoon of olive oil.
