The story is that the raisins should bring you and your guest good fortune, the oranges happiness in love, and your own choice of dried fruits good health. A different recipe for making lasagna with both chicken and pineapple. You can add different spices after preference, but in this recipe I use curry. Instead of cream cheese I prepare a cheese sauce to make the lasagna creamy and soft.
This homemade recipe for pesto is based on olives, arugula and basil. The pesto has a flavorful and stronger taste if you use fresh basil and arugula. You can eat the pesto as it is together with bread as a starter, on the pasta, or use it on a pizza instead of the tomato sauce.
An easy starter to prepare and nice way to start a Italian inspired Evening. Maybe not the first that comes in mind when you think of an Italian Carpaccio, but will be a really tasty treat.
