Saffron and White Chocolate Mousse
Saffron and White Chocolate Mousse
16 Reviews.
I was invited to my friend’s house for a “advents fika” and this time I was asked to bring the dessert. I came up with this treat for the event, a wonderful, elegant saffron and white chocolate mousse. In Sweden, every Sunday from 4 weeks before Christmas you meet friends and family to eat desserts and cakes, all made with saffron.

Ingredient List for 4 servings:
1 gr Saffron
150 gr White chocolate
300 ml Heavy cream
1 Egg
Put the chocolate in the microwave 30 seconds at the time, until melted. Stir in between.
Add the saffron and mix well.
Whip the egg and stir with the melted chocolate.
Whip the cream and mix with the chocolate.
Pour evenly in portion serving bowls.
Place cold in the fridge for minimum 2 hours.

These tasteful mini muffins are fun to do and turns out perfect every time thanks to the bananas. They have a moist texture so you can keep them a few days without getting dry. You can choose to serve the muffins as a weekend breakfast, as a after school treat or why not eat them together with a cup of coffee.
This popular Swedish cardamom bun is filled with almond paste and whipped cream, and then sprinkled with icing sugar. This is the traditional way of making it, but it is possible to find it with or without cardamon, with vanilla and raspberry filling as well.
This is a fast and simple recipe of the Swedish soft flat bread with meatballs. This recipe uses already done meatballs, but it always tastes better if you do them yourself. It is perfect to serve this rolls cold, either as a starter or as a side dish. The rolls will be especially appreciated by the kids.
