Our family love Swedish semlor and mud cakes, so when I heard of a semmel mud cake, I just had to try it out. This homemade version of a semel mud cake turned out better than I hoped. It's a slightly sticky cardamon cake topped with almond paste and whipped cream. I must say the cake even taste better a day after you prepare it.
